Mission Control is Mission Cloud’s customer-facing platform. It’s where customers manage their AWS environment, connect with their service teams, and get visibility into their cloud health. I’ve been the sole designer and primary frontend developer since the product’s early days.

My Roles

I started at Mission Cloud as Manager of UX Design and Frontend Engineering, building the design practice and frontend team from the ground up. In 2025, I shifted into a Senior Product Designer role, focusing fully on product design while staying hands-on with frontend development.

The throughline across both roles: I design every feature, and I build it too. That means I own the full path from research and concept through to production code. No handoff, no translation layer. The design is the implementation.

What I’ve Built

Mission Control started as a simple dashboard and has grown into a full product experience. Some of the areas I’ve shaped:

Cloud health monitoring

Real-time visibility into AWS account scores, recommendations, and risk areas. Customers see their cloud health at a glance and can dig into specifics.

Service team collaboration

Tools that connect customers with their Mission Cloud teams. Meeting workflows, shared documents, and ongoing communication channels.

Account management

User management, billing visibility, and support request workflows. The operational backbone that keeps everything running.

Design system & frontend architecture

Built the component library, established patterns, and maintained the frontend codebase as the product scaled.

Every feature follows the same process: research the problem, design the solution, build it, ship it, learn from it.
